Nature, love of space and architectural sustainability.
It is from the union of these three elements that the philosophy of the new Is Molas Resort redevelopment project was born. A constructive genesis based on the harmonious rewriting of the man-landscape relationship, where, to prevail, is the triumph of the senses, the simplification of structures and the gentleness of design. Traits of design innovation that renew as a whole an architectural complex that was born and conceived in the heart of the 1970s, and has come down to the present day through a combinatorial alternation of multiple styles and construction trends.
Thanks to a holistic approach and functional optimization of the environments, Is Molas Resort today is projected into a horizon of total renewal that translates in fact into a perceptive revisiting of the hotel structure - rooms, hall and restaurant - integrating to the original receptive system, of the criteria of bio-architecture, energy efficiency energy, environmental comfort and sustainable relationship with the surrounding habitat.

A GLANCE TOWARDS THE SEA
In an area that carries the DNA of the sea in its landscape roots, connection with the environmental heritage is a cardinal priority in the architectural redevelopment project of Is Molas Resort.
Nestled in a natural forest of nearly 500 hectares, the resort complex is developed, as per its native plan, on a horseshoe design, within which several residential poles coexist adjacent to each other: first and foremost the Hotel, with its appurtenant areas, the main object of the ongoing redevelopment, but also the swimming pool, the garden and, last but not least, the Club House, a structure of stylistic excellence that still retains a marked architectural relevance, allowing visual access over a wide panoramic view that ranges from the golf courses to the striking strip of sea visible on the horizon. A color palette that enhances the chromatic interweaving of sea and mountains in the setting of a lush natural stage.

The objective of the redevelopment project, by Studio PM7, is to accentuate the feeling of spatiality, thus promoting an unobstructed view through special structural lightening measures (walls, pillars, elimination of architectural barriers). A wide field that, especially from the hotel lobby and rooms, will allow the distinction between inside and outside to be attenuated.
In fact, the inspiring principle of the interventions at work consists in adapting the Hotel to the natural ecosystem in which it is inserted: an osmosis that translates into a radical change in air conditioning, insulation and energy efficiency.
In terms of material composition, in addition to the traditional plasters that enliven the façade painting, the choice of pink granite prevails in the flooring, an option that enriches the spectacularity of the structure by giving a more pronounced shine to the rooms. All this is accompanied by a new color philosophy and an even more architecturally performing usability of the spaces.

FROM STRUCTURAL SIMPLIFICATION TO EXOTIC STYLE.
The interventions designed on the rooms are based on overcoming a rationalist style to embrace a more exotic approach, free from the rigidity of traditional design, more open in terms of space and with the presence of more detailed finishing elements: canopies, reeds, wood, vertical stones. A more simplified and gentle look that is completed with the presence of real hanging gardens in the part above the rooms: a solution that creates an imperceptible altimetric effect with rooms higher up and rooms lower down. All in the name of lightness and continuous hybridization with the green.
The first tranche of work, inaugurated in November 2022, will be ready for the next season, with the upgrading of the first 13 rooms, each equipped with new furniture, mud-colored walls, carpeted flooring, new bathrooms and an expansion of the exclusive terraces for each room.

L'AFFACCIO SUL GIARDINO E LA NUOVA VASCA DECORATIVA
L’effetto a corte che emerge dalla pianta a ferro di cavallo, conferisce all’Hotel e alla sua facciata un ritmo circolare dove interagiscono fra loro gli spazi esterni del giardino, della piscina e del Ristorante Le Ginestre, oggi totalmente in open e con l’affaccio su una suggestiva vasca decorativa e le nuove pareti color zenzero.
La nuova struttura dispone di un'ampia sala che può ospitare oltre 200 persone e di un patio a bordo piscina da cui si gode una splendida vista sulla torre di Nora e sulle colline del Sud Ovest della Sardegna. A completare tutto lo spazio colazioni esterno, immerso nel verde lussureggiante del giardino dell'hotel. Un palcoscenico naturale per vivere dei momenti indimenticabili.

In the picturesque inlet of Porto Agumu, the new Beach Club of Is Molas Resort is born. An exclusive space on the beach, specially designed for those who want to experience their stay in Sardinia in relaxation.
The complex, designed in full adherence to the canons of environmental sustainability, is a small architectural jewel that overlooks one of the most spectacular coastlines of South Sardinia: a Restaurant with 40 seats, a terrace overlooking the sea, Cocktail bar, space for music and live events and the convenience of private parking.There is a wide choice of services, with as many as 20 beach locations equipped with sun loungers with tables and towel rental. In its design composition, the new Beach Club, is a candidate to be the ideal place for the organization of Catering, Dj sets & parties, Social dinner and Ceremonies.
